Emblem on windowThe Callistherapy Foundation for Complementary Health Care is a non-profit making, voluntary and community organisation and is recognised by the Borough Council of Wellingborough. It was set up in 1999 by Linda Callis and Charles Callis to bring healing of the body, mind and spirit to all those in need. In other words, it is a social enterprise.

The Objectives, as laid down in the constitution, are:

  • to facilitate healing through the practice of a range of complementary therapies
  • to establish a programme of education for the prevention and management of disease and disability
  • to improve health care provision for the benefit of all by developing communication and co-operation between health care professions
  • to make available a range of vocational and non-vocational training courses in complementary health care
  • to undertake research to measure the effectiveness of complementary therapies in the treatment of a range of identified conditions and to disseminate the results.
