We have come together to heal the body, mind and spirit of all in need.

In pursuit of this mission we have developed a number of projects to target our help at specific groups of people. Living with Cancer was the first project developed by Linda Callis soon after the opening of the Healing Centre.

The Trauma Centre, now known as Oasis, was set up in 2002 in response to one of Linda’s students looking for somewhere to practise. It was formalized around a core team and a system of subsidised treatment. Calm, a project for people with long-term mental health problems, was then set up on the same lines. We have to raise some £10,000 a year to fund these projects.

A specialized trauma service, Defeat Stress, has recently been established for those from the armed services in response to a well-reported need. This and a relaunched Living with Cancer project are intended to be self-funding.

The Balsa project is designed to spread our work internationally.
