What is Swedish Style Massage?

Swedish Style Massage
Swedish or classic massage, is defined in large part by the original strokes
that compose its method: effleurage (stroking), petrissage (kneading),
tapotement (striking), and frictions (rubbing), with vibration added later.

Massage involves acting on and manipulating the body with pressure -
structured, unstructured, stationary, or moving - tension, motion, or
vibration, done manually or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include
muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as
well as lymphatic vessels, or organs of the gastro-intestinal system. Massage
can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, forearm, and feet.

The therapy that once early man found effective is now being used once
again in our modern day practices. Try it - you will understand why.
